The Dyneema® Clew Webbing for swinging free and free-swinging sails uses Dyneema ®, a high-modulus strength fiber known for its strength and durability. This webbing is specifically dimensioned to provide higher resistance to abrasion, chafing, and UV degradation.
It has an adjustable textile tie for attaching the clew of a free-edge mainsail to the boom. The loop must be adjusted by lashing and secured with at least four half-hitches to keep it tight. For convenience, the mainsail hoist can be attached directly to the tie strap.
